Enrichment is a significant and important part of the overall curriculum at Ashton on Mersey Sixth Form. Enrichment enhances the important skills and personal qualities that employers and Universities are looking for and also develops a more ‘rounded’ student.
Life at Ashton on Mersey Sixth Form isn’t just about classroom time and working towards your chosen course of study. It’s about broadening your mind, taking on new challenges, meeting new people and having fun with a full and comprehensive enrichment programme. All students are expected to select an area of personal development and community work throughout the Years 12 and 13.

Young Enterprise
The YE scheme gives the opportunity to do something truly different and develop skills of entrepreneurship. Students form a real company under the auspices of Young Enterprise. A board of directors is appointed under a Managing Director. The company makes decisions about products, marketing, sales and operations as well as company organisation — finance, marketing, personnel and ICT. Shares are sold, materials purchased, quality monitored and products produced and sold.
